To support the new SpongeBob SquarePants Swim Awards Series, STA has created a digital Teacher Guide.

The collectible range of SpongeBob SquarePants swimming awards feature the six main characters from the TV show – SpongeBob, Patrick Star, Gary, Squidward, Sandy Cheeks and Mr Krabs – and are ALL branded ‘DARE TO BE SQUARE’.

Each is supported with an official SpongeBob SquarePants branded certificate and a contrasting square-shaped woven badge, which are exclusive to STA.

The SpongeBob SquarePants ‘Dare to be Square’ swimming awards series have no specific learning outcomes, which gives swimming teachers and coaches the opportunity and freedom, to reward important milestones and achievements – and it’s not exclusive to learn to swim.

Such is the wide appeal of SpongeBob; they are all encompassing and can be used by:

• Schools – to support school swimming lessons

• Open Water Swimming Coaches

• Swimming Clubs

• Any Aquatic Sport Activity, from diving to water polo, and artistic swimming.

In this downloadable digital Teacher Guide, there are examples of how the SpongeBob SquarePants awards could be issued, however these are only suggestions and not an exhaustive list.

Swimming teachers and coaches are welcome to reward the awards for any achievement and in whatever order they choose - or the participant requests. The same certificate can also be issued on multiple occasions for different achievements. The skills list for each of the awards are endless and are not age or ability restrictive, making them a great way to keep participants of all swimming levels motivated.
